If we’re talking about when poker came to prominence in the state, then it would be appropriate to look back to the 1960s and 70s. Likewise, New York has had quite a popular place amongst other poker-loving states, and it does in fact have quite the storied history there. New York is one of the states of America that most people know about alongside other popular locations like California, Texas and Florida.
